What is Diode Laser Hair Reduction by XLASE? Diode Laser (Xlase) is a laser hair removal procedure that uses an intense beam of light to remove unwanted hair on various body parts. The technology we use at The Verve Lounge Fiji is suitable for all skin types, ranging from light to dark complexions.
How does it work?
Diode Laser (Xlase) utilises a photo epilation wavelength (808nm) and is substantially more practical for the entire body. By employing a laser light along the skin’s surface, Laser Hair Removal targets your hair follicles, causing deliberate damage at the base. In turn, this damage inhibits or completely disables the follicle’s ability to produce new hair as rapidly as before.

How many sessions are required? To get the best results for yourself and to maintain longevity it is recommended to do at least 6 sessions minimum with at least 2-6 weeks apart from each other. After completing your minimum requirement, it is recommended to maintain every 4-8 weeks.
What is the downtime involved? There is no excessive downtime involved post-treatment. You may experience sensitivity and redness in the treated area, and you may have a few breakouts or rashes which is completely normal and nothing to worry about. We do advise post-treatment to not participate in any excessive sweating and/or exercising as there is already heat under the skin, so excessive sweating and/or exercising can lead to unwanted reactions. If at any time immediately after you feel itchy, it is recommended to apply a cold towel compress and/or take antihistamines.
What is IPL by Xlase? Intense Pulsed Light Therapy is a cosmetic procedure to improve the skin’s texture. The goal is to give your skin a clearer and more even, youthful look. IPL therapy treats a range of skin pigment and blood vessel issues on areas such as your face or any body area of choice.
How does it work? Our IPL skin treatments use light energy to target pigmentation and vessels within the skin. Using interchangeable filters at different wavelengths we can selectively heat our targets and treat them within the skin.
What can we treat? We can treat both face and body areas for the following concerns: - Pigmentation concerns - Post Acne Scarring concerns - Vascular Lesion concerns - Anti-Wrinkle concerns - Rosacea concerns
How many sessions are required? We recommend a minimum of 3 treatments completed every 2-4 weeks apart for the best results and longevity of results.
How long do the results last? After the recommended minimum treatments, results will vary and some may need more treatments. If you are using the recommended home care and maintenance plan by your skin expert then your results will be long-term. Generally, clients retain their results up to 6 months to 1 year with the possibility of minimal pigment or vascular lesions resurfacing.
What is Liposonix HIFU Treatment? The Liposonix treatment is a non-surgical and non-invasive fat reduction treatment that uses high-intensity focused ultrasound energy (HIFU) to permanently destroy fat cells.
Liposonix uses state of the art technology to High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, HIFU into concentrated waves that can safely pass through the outer layers of skin tissue, penetrating the subcutaneous fat cells that lie beneath the skin’s surface. The ultrasonic energy heats up the fat cells, to the point of destruction.
Once the fat cells are destroyed, the body’s natural healing process will take over. Over a period of several weeks, the body’s lymphatic system will gradually remove the destroyed fat cells from the treatment area. These collected fat cells will then be expelled from the body as waste.
How long do the results last?
The duration of HIFU effects depends on factors like the individual’s skin type, age and lifestyle. On average, the results of HIFU last between 6 months to 1 year and in some cases where clients follow through with an adequate home care plan the results last up to 2 years. Regular care and a healthy lifestyle can help maintain these results for longer.
How many sessions are required? When treating your face, you only require 1 treatment every 6-12 months apart. If you are treating your body areas, you will need to do at least 3 sessions every 4-6 weeks apart for the best results.
